Drug testing companies have started testing drugs in an attempt to weed out the negative side effects of drug use.
A test by a drug company, labcorp, is the first step towards proving that drug-related illnesses are being treated in a safe way, and to ensure that drug users are not passing the disease on to others.
The labcorps testing programme, called Drug-Free World, will be launched in London on Monday, and will be followed by tests at the British Museum in London, a London-based health authority, and a London primary school.
Drug tests can take up to five days to complete, and some tests are not available in London.
Labcorp has developed a method of testing drugs, including ecstasy, which has been found to be harmful to some people.
The company will test drugs for the four main types of drugs listed on the EU drug market list, including cannabis, ketamine, MDMA and phencyclidine.
“This will give us the first indication of the level of harm a drug has caused to the individual,” said Martin O’Donoghue, chief executive of Labcorp.
“If we find the level is a bit higher than we expect, we will ask for a drug-specific exclusion.”
“Our aim is to show to the pharmaceutical industry that the drugs we test are safe for people, rather than just showing that there are side effects.”
The company said it would conduct its tests in a controlled environment with a strict testing protocol, but would use its own data to analyse how it affected users and drug users.
“The safety of drugs in general and cannabis in particular is very important to us,” said Mr O’Neill.
“But we are also worried about other things like the impact of this testing on the public.”
We believe we can be the first of the major pharmaceutical companies to conduct the test.
“Mr O’Neil said it was hoped that the tests would be a “game changer” for the public’s health.”
Labcorps is one of the first drugs companies to have conducted tests in London in more than 20 years. “
And it will also give them the chance to test themselves for other drug-use disorders.”
Labcorps is one of the first drugs companies to have conducted tests in London in more than 20 years.
It has been running its tests since 2012.
Dr O’Neill said the drug company hoped to be able to test around one million drugs, and that this would be its biggest drug test ever.
He said it had not yet tested the drugs for side effects and there was no evidence that they caused harm.
“These are tests that can be conducted in a sterile environment,” he told the BBC.
“So we can do them without any contamination.
We can do it with the appropriate level of supervision, and we can test at home.”‘
You can’t see it’Some people have reported that the drug tests made them feel nauseous, while others said they were relieved.
Dr Owen Farrow, director of drug harm reduction and research at the Samaritans, said: “It’s very disappointing to hear that some people have been concerned that the testing may make them feel sick or feel like they are getting a placebo effect.”
People should be allowed to have these tests, if they are satisfied that the results are accurate and the results have been taken in a non-reactive way.
“However, it’s important that anyone who has a concern about the safety of a drug test can talk to their GP or get the testing done themselves.”
As well as being the first drug-testing service to do this in the UK, the Labcorps tests have also been shown to be effective in helping people who use drugs, such as users who use ketamine.
“LabCorps has been testing in Britain since 2012 and has had a range of tests.
The tests include the MDA-9, a drug tested for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a chemical found in cannabis, MDMA, cocaine and heroin.
